Lara is pursuing a nursing degree and has goals to work with the female population. She went through a traumatic divorce, the loss of her mother who raised her alone, and the diagnosis of a chronic auto-immune disease. Still, she makes time to back to her community by picking up trash with her kids and donates frequently to Project Safe, an organization that helps women & children of domestic violence.
